Velisa Africa Academy has scheduled a series of high-intensity focused training programmes aimed at developing youth in specific skill sets in the areas of the ICT sector where there are known critical skills shortages. Some of these programmes include:
- Junior Systems Engineer – IBM Mainframe (VAA Mainframe 101)
- Junior Java Programming (VAA Java programming 101)
- Junior Business Analyst (VAA Business Analyst 101)
Each programme focuses on building work bridging skills and the technical strengths required for the particular skill set. Upon completion of the programmes, graduates are in a position to obtain recognised certifications in the chosen skill-set and emerge as work-ready employable candidates. All 101 programmes have succession 201 and 301 programmes that are aimed at growing the skills of individuals as they grow in their career paths.
