Ruckus : Ruckus Associate SmartZone Administrator

Velisa Africa is the official Global Knowledge partner in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The course will guide students from freshly installed controller to a fully functioning WLAN controller with commonly deployed WLANs. Students will learn to manage devices and users, and to ensure system uptime with fault tolerant strategies. The course provides an understanding of the SmartZone controller platforms available for Ruckus Access Points: SmartZone – SZ100, Virtual SmartZone Essentials (vSZ-E), Virtual SmartZone High-Scale (vSZ-H), SmartCell Gateway – SCG-200.

Pre-Requisites

Before taking this course, students should have working knowledge of:

Ruckus Wireless Controllers (Required)
Introduction to Ruckus Products (Recommended)
LAN/WLAN Fundamentals (Recommended)
GK3605 – Wireless LAN Foundations (Recommended)

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

Access Point Registration
Basic WLAN, and Advanced AP Configuration
Essentials Domain Configuration
Managing WLAN devices as well as Groups, Schedules, VLAN
High Scale Admin Domain Config Pools, and advanced WLAN settings
High Scale Subdomains, Admin Accounts and Zones Portal, User, and Guest Pass Authentication
Essentials and High Scale Zone Configuration Clustering and Fault Tolerance
