Overview

This course teaches students to create dynamic and interactive websites and apply and extend their knowledge of HTML, Forms and CSS. Students will learn to create databases and tables in MySQL, how to connect and update, insert and remove database records. We will cover PHP syntax, and how to work with variables, strings and arrays. Additionally, dealing with emails and include files will be covered during the course.

Methodology

The course is practical in nature in that a series of tutorials guide the learner through the practical application of the concepts taught in the course. Included are exercises in:

  • Database and table set-up
  • Working with MySQL
  • Email
  • Include files
  • Functions

Outcomes

At the completion of the course students will be able to create an interactive website, using HTML forms, PHP and MySQL

Platform

At the completion of the course students will be able to create an interactive website, using HTML forms, PHP and MySQL

The primary audience for this course is individuals who administer and maintain SQL Server databases and are responsible for optimal performance of SQL Server instances that they manage. These individuals also write queries against data and need to ensure optimal execution performance of the workloads. The secondary audiences for this course are individuals who develop applications that deliver content from SQL Server databases.
