This course follows on from Implementing Cisco IP Telephony and Video Part1 and prepares delegates for implementing  Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco VCS-C and Cisco Expressyway in a multisite environment. It covers globalized call routing, Call Control Discovery (CCD), Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), and mobility features such as Cisco Device Mobility and Cisco Extension Mobility.

Delegates will apply a dial plan for a multisite environment, configure survivability for remote sites during WAN failure and implement solutions to reduce bandwidth requirements in the IP WAN.Delegates will also enable Call Admission Control (CAC) and implement ILS, GDPR and CCD.

This course is based on software version 10.6

Pre-Requisites

Attendees should meet the following prerequisites:

  • Working knowledge of converged voice and data networks
  • Ability to configure and operate Cisco Unified Communications
  • Manager in a single-site environment. CIPTV1 or CIPT1 attendance is required.

After you complete this course you will be able to:

  • Implement call-processing resiliency in remote sites by using Cisco Unified SRST, MGCP fallback

Engineers involved in the deployment of Cisco Collaboration solutions in multisite deployments, or individuals looking to achieve the CCNP Collaboration Career Certification.

Recommended preparation for exam(s):

  • 300-075 – Implementing Cisco IP Telephony and Video Part 2

CIPTV2 is one of four courses required for the Cisco Certified Network Professional for Collaboration Career Certification

The following courses are recommended for further study:

  • CTCOLLAB – Troubleshooting Cisco IP Telephony and Video
  • CAPPS – Implementing Cisco Collaboration Applications.

Further Information

Cisco Professional-level certifications (CCNP, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCSP, CCNP Security, CCNP Voice, CCIP, CCNP Service Provider, CCNP Service Provider Operations, and CCNP Data Center) are valid for three years. To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:

  • Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
  • Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
  • Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
  • Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
