CDMP Pay-if-you-Pass Event

DAMA Southern Africa will be celebrating the Launch of the updated CDMP Exams with a Pay-if-you-Pass event. You will have the opportunity to write the Data Management Fundamentals exam and your speciality electives without the fear of wasting money by failing, because you get one free chance to rewrite any failed exams at our event! Please note, you have 2 days to complete as many exams as possible. At the end of the 2 days you only need to pay for the exams that you passed.
All exams are based on the DMBoK Version 2, contain 100 questions and are 90 minutes long.
You need to score 70% in Data Management Fundamentals to proceed to the elective exams (pass also 70%). Electives offered at present are:
- Data Governance
- Data Quality
- Data Modelling and Design
- Metadata Management

1. Data Management Overview: 1st – 2nd July 2019, 2 Days at R8000.00 (excl. VAT) per person
A guided overview of the entire DMBoK V2 to prepare you for the Data Management Fundamentals exam. Includes a study guide. More info here.
2. Mastering Data Modelling: 25th – 28th June 2019, 4 Days at R12 000 (excl. VAT) per person
We have obtained the right to present this course in SA by Steve Hoberman who wrote the Modelling section of both DMBoK versions. Steve is considered a thought leader in Data Modelling, and is the author of many books on the subject. This course is excellent preparation for the elective exam.
You will learn how to interrogate stakeholders effectively to get all the correct specifications, how to build models for different types of applications and how to rate models objectively using Steve Hoberman’s Data Model Scorecard. This is a hands-on course with a useful Training Manual / Workbook. Day 4 is a practical case study where modelling is done in groups.
